Manchester City are trying to sign Francesco Camarda from AC Milan – with Borussia Dortmund also keen on the wonderkid.
That is according to Calciomercato.
So, who is Francesco Camarda? And why do Manchester City want to sign him? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to Calciomercato – AC Milan are desperate to keep the Italian prodigy, and plan to offer him a professional contract as soon as he turns 16 in March.
According to football scout Sciabolata Morbida on Twitter, Camarda remarkably scored 483 goals in just 87 games throughout one period of his time in the AC Milan youth ranks.
The 2017/18 campaign was particularly special for the 15-year-old, as he is alleged to have netted 247 goals in just 40 appearances, which is a simply outrageous haul.

It is – therefore – no surprise whatsoever to see Manchester City take an interest in Camarda.
The Italy Under-17 international has already been moved well above his age group, recently starting against Newcastle in the UEFA Youth League, an Under-19 competition.
Camarda took to that level like a duck to water, scoring two goals while also providing one assist in a 4-0 win for AC Milan.
Manchester City could sign the next Karim Benzema in Francesco Camarda
As if often the case when a prospect emerges onto the scene, comparisons are made.
Interestingly – as detailed by French news outlet RMC Sport – Camarda has been likened to Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

RMC Sport wrote: “A killer in front of goal, he is also gifted with his back to the game, valuable in supporting work, allowing his wingers and midfielders to project themselves.
“Some compare him to Karim Benzema, and not just for the bandage he wears on his hand.”
Make no mistake about it – Camarda is a truly special talent.
Will Manchester City manage to secure his signature? Only time will tell.
