Manchester City are now keen to sign Lorran from Flamengo – with Real Madrid and Manchester United also tracking the Brazilian sensation.
That is according to 90min.
So, what has been written about Manchester City and Lorran? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the 17-year-old wonderkid looks set to become the next diamond to emerge from Brazilian football.
90min believe Pep Guardiola is keeping tabs on Lorran, with Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea, West Ham and Brighton also keen to secure his signature.
Manchester City’s bitter rivals Manchester United are also interested – as aforesaid – and are actually already in talks with Flamengo over a deal as the Red Devils aim to fend off fierce competition.
Lorran, who is signed to Jay-Z’s ROC Nation Sports agency, became Flamengo’s youngest ever goalscorer when he scored in a 1-1 draw against Bangu back in January, and has a €50m (£43m) release clause written into his contract.

The teenager is not actually allowed to move to Europe until he turns 18 in July 2024, which rules out any January switch to the Etihad Stadium or elsewhere.
However, a deal can still be set up in advance, like Real Madrid have done with the €70m (£61m) capture of another Brazilian starlet Endrick, who officially joins them from Palmeiras in July 2024.
Manchester City cannot miss out on Lorran
In our view, Manchester City must do all they can to secure this precocious talent.
Of course, Guardiola may not have room for Lorran in his squad immediately, given the presence of Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland.
However, this £43m opportunity is too good to ignore.

In our view, Manchester City should consider loaning him to another side in the City Group – such as Girona for example – before easing him in at the Etihad Stadium in future.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the Citizens attempt to sign Lorran ahead of Europe’s elite clubs.
