Pep Guardiola to make three changes, £400,000-a-week ace to start: Man City predicted line-up vs Burnley

With Manchester City set to face Burnley at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, we have predicted their potential lineup for the contest.

Despite having beaten Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the FA Cup on Friday, in our view, Pep Guardiola could still make two changes to his side.

Manchester City predicted lineup vs Burnley

As per our predicted lineup, Ederson Moraes, who was on the bench against Spurs could reclaim his place in the Manchester City side by replacing Stefan Ortega.

After keeping Timo Werner quiet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what was an impressive defensive display from Kyle Walker, it is tough to anticipate him losing his place in the starting XI.

Similarly, Ruben Dias and Nathan Ake were rock-solid in the centre of defence for City against Ange Postecoglou’s side, with the latter also scoring a crucial winner and as a result, one expects both to retain their places in the side.

With Josko Gvardiol also impressing, both defensively and offensively against Tottenham, it is likely that he could start against Burnley as well, as per our predicted Manchester City lineup for the clash.

Considering Mateo Kovacic was at his splendid best against Spurs and Rodri was a solid presence in the middle of the park as well, there would be no reason to displace either of the pair ahead of the Premier League champions’ upcoming encounter.

Bernardo Silva, however, may lose his place to Kevin De Bruyne, according to our predicted Manchester City lineup to lock horns against Burnley.

Considering the £400,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man has come off the bench and got minutes in his legs in City’s last three games, perhaps Pep Guardiola may well be ready to unleash him from the get-go on Wednesday.

Oscar Bobb could also be benched for Jeremy Doku on the left flank, who looked sharp in moments during his appearance as a substitute against Tottenham.

As for Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez, it is unlikely to see them being rested as their partnership up top continues to get better and better.
