As Manchester City gear up to lock horns with Copenhagen on Wednesday, we have called their predicted lineup for the clash.

With City set to face Liverpool and Arsenal in successive weeks after the second leg of the Champions League, Pep Guardiola could make four changes to the side that beat Manchester United 3-1 on Sunday.

After being relatively untested against United, apart from Marcus Rashford’s wondergoal, Ederson Moraes could start once again in net against Copenhagen, as per our predicted Manchester City lineup.

At right-back, Kyle Walker, who was terrific in the Manchester Derby could keep his place in the side on Wednesday night.

Considering John Stones’ injury record and with the Premier League title run-in in mind, Pep Guardiola could perhaps rest him and start Manuel Akanji instead.

Alongside the 28-year-old could be Ruben Dias, who was given a breather quite recently against Luton Town in the FA Cup and as a result, he could start from the off against Copenhagen, according to our predicted Manchester City lineup.

With Josko Gvardiol just returning to the matchday squad against Manchester United, Nathan Ake is likely to start at left-back once again.

Rodri, who Gary Neville recently hailed as City’s most important player is expected to start at the base of midfield in Europe after putting in yet another masterclass against Erik ten Hag’s side.

Bernardo Silva, however, could be rested to hand Mateo Kovacic a chance in midfield against Copenhagen, considering how brilliant he was against Luton recently.

Kevin De Bruyne could start proceedings against the Danish side to hand him a confidence boost ahead of his side’s daunting trip to Anfield on Sunday.

On the right flank, it is hard to look past Phil Foden in our predicted Manchester City lineup for the Champions League encounter, having put in a sensational showing on derby day.

Up front, Julian Alvarez could come in for Erling Haaland after his sprightly cameo off the bench against United.

While on the left wing, perhaps the 25-year-old Matheus Nunes could be tested, just like he was against Luton, especially considering Jeremy Doku did not cover himself in glory against the Red Devils.
