As Manchester City prepare to lock horns against RB Leipzig, we have tried to call their predicted lineup.

Coming off the back of their 2-1 defeat against Wolves on Saturday, we expect Pep Guardiola to just make three changes to his side.

Manchester City predicted lineup vs RB Leipzig

As per usual, Ederson Moraes is expected to start in goal in our Manchester City predicted lineup as they gear themselves up to face RB Leipzig.

At right-back, Kyle Walker is likely to keep his place in the side, especially after having been rested recently against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup.

Manuel Akanji is expected to start proceedings against RB Leipzig unless John Stones, who has been reported to have returned to training alongside Bernardo Silva (via journalist Simon Bajkowski) is brought back to fold.

Alongside the Swiss international could be Nathan Ake at centre-back, with Ruben Dias being handed a breather ahead of the contest.

However, it will be Josko Gvardiol who may return to the side in our Manchester City predicted lineup with the Portuguese defender sitting out.

Rodri, branded as ‘extraordinary’ by Pep Guardiola is available to face the German side and as a result, it is unlikely to see him warming the bench on Wednesday.

As a result, Mateo Kovacic could drop to the bench, with Matheus Nunes, who just played a half of football against Wolves start from the off.

At right wing, Jeremy Doku, who featured there during the backend of City’s previous encounter could well be tested in that position.

Behind the striker could be Phil Foden, operating as a traditional No.10 against RB Leipzig.

While on the left flank, Jack Grealish could make a return to the side.

The Englishman getting a start could lead to Erling Haaland being rested, with Julian Alvarez leading the line in the Champions League clash.
