Bernardo Silva commented on Ruben Amorim heading to Manchester United by admitting that he does not wish him well since he is joining a “rival” of his Manchester City side.
With Manchester City entering their upcoming contest off the back of two back-to-back defeats against Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth, they are not in the best form currently.

Man City predicted line-up vs Sporting CP
Guardiola confirmed Stefan Ortega will start against Sporting instead of Ederson Moraes, which will be the first alteration to City’s previous starting XI that he will make.
Gabby Agbonlahor lauded Rico Lewis by describing him as “outstanding” and he could be set to replace Kyle Walker in the side as well.
Guardiola offered an update on Walker’s fitness by revealing that he has had “problems with his knee” since heading for international duty the last time around. The Manchester City boss also disclosed that Kevin De Bruyne is “getting better” and feels “less pain”, Savinho’s ankle injury is improving while revealing that Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake still have “problems” in terms of their fitness.
Akanji and Ake trained on Monday and with Ruben Dias injured until after the forthcoming international break as well as the Portuguese international and the injured John Stones not spotted in training by Sky Sports News, the aforementioned pair could keep their places in the starting line-up.
After scoring yet another important goal against Bournemouth, Josko Gvardiol is another player who seems likely to start against Sporting.
Mateo Kovacic could keep his place at the base of midfield as well, having only started from the off in Manchester City’s 0-0 draw against Inter Milan in the Champions League this season.
Ilkay Gundogan could also retain his place in Manchester City’s starting XI to face Sporting as he was taken off in the 86th minute against Bournemouth.
With Pep Guardiola tasking Phil Foden to shift away from the right flank to playing as a number 10 in the second half against Andoni Iraola’s side, he could deploy the Englishman in the same role.
As the Portuguese technician was instructed to play on the right-wing, he could start the encounter in the same position from the very start and play from the off once again.
Pep Guardiola was quizzed about whether Erling Haaland needs a rest via HaytersTV, as he replied: “I don’t think so. Maybe international games, he can rest.”
As a result, it seems likely that Haaland will start against Sporting once again.
With Matheus Nunes being in brilliant form and considering how uninvolved he has been for much of his time at City, he seems unlikely to be rested.
