Manchester City have reportedly sent scouts to watch Tottenham Hotspur wonderkid Tyrese Hall.

The transfer window may have only just closed, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about City bringing in fresh blood, and apparently youngster Hall is someone the club like.

The central midfielder has been making waves in the youth ranks at Spurs, scoring 16 goals for the U16s previously.

Hall was rewarded during the 2021/22 season for his exciting development with his first professional contract.

City like what they see, and are apparently poised to make a swoop…

According to Football Transfers, City scouts were recently present at Broadhall Way to witness Tottenham’s U21 clash against Aston Villa.

Spurs won 5-2, with Hall really impressing in the game by making two assists for the north Londoners.

Football Transfers add that Spurs are keen to retain Hall, but there is said to be ‘concern’ within the club that the prospect of playing for City and working with Pep Guardiola could turn his head.

City, of course, have a brilliant record when it comes to developing young players, with the academy now one of the very best in the world.

It was also recently revealed to be one of the most profitable, with young players going on to be sold for great fees.

A potentially exciting move

So City are keen to bring in Hall from Spurs – and he does look to be a pretty exciting young talent.

According to superhotspur, the 18-year-old is a ‘very exciting, skilful and creative player, regardless of which position he starts matches in’.

It is also mentioned that he is a ‘tenacious player who has a good defensive side to his game’.

So, he’s both versatile and hardworking, so it is clear why there may be an interest from City in the youngster as these are qualities Pep Guardiola arguably values the highest.

Pretty much all of the current first-team players are versatile, and every single one of them works extremely hard, and that is why it is such a successful squad.

We will see what transpires with Hall, and if City are able to poach him this year.
