Manchester City No.11 Jeremy Doku has now become the first player to do one thing in the Premier League this season.

It was WhoScored who provided the information.

So, what has Jeremy Doku done? Let’s take a look…

Doku hits landmark for dribbling

Well, the Belgium international has now become the first player in the Premier League to record 50 successful dribbles this season.

It took Doku just 13 Premier League appearances to achieve the feat.

The £55.5m man surpassed 50 successful dribbles during Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

As shown by WhoScored once again, Doku completed six successful dribbles against Vincent Kompany’s Clarets – more than any other player on the pitch managed.

The Belgian also registered four key passes – no player on the pitch recorded more.

Additionally, Doku impressed with his defensive work rate as well.

The 21-year-old recorded two successful tackles and two interceptions – none of his Manchester City teammates completed more in both departments, even those at the back.

It was a tremendous performance from Doku, who is starting to look more mature out on the pitch under Pep Guardiola.

Doku could move into another gear at Manchester City now De Bruyne is back

One thing Manchester City fans have been blocked from seeing regularly this season is the connection between Doku and his fellow countryman Kevin De Bruyne – until now.

The pair have only ever played eight games alongside each other – with half of those coming for Belgium – but have still managed to combine for two goals while winning six of these eight outings.

Doku’s electric pace is a dream for someone as creative as De Bruyne, who knows he doesn’t even necessarily need to weight the pass in behind perfectly for his fellow Belgian, as he is quick enough to get on the end of most through balls.

Hopefully, the duo can both stay fit, and continue to cause huge problems for opponents at Manchester City.
