Savinho has said that he if continues to progress at the rate he is, he has no doubt that Manchester City would add him to their first-team.

In an interview with MARCA, the Brazilian sensation was quizzed about his future at the Etihad Stadium, as he is currently on loan at Girona.

However, Savinho seems to back himself to make the cut at Manchester City if he continues to let his feet do the talking.

Savinho confidently says Manchester City ‘will want’ to add him to their first-team

The 19-year-old has been a revelation in La Liga this season, with two goals and four assists to his name for third-placed Girona.

So far, the teenager has looked like one of the most exciting young players in the Spanish top flight, who even AS Roma were keen on signing, as per a revelation in July.

Now, Savinho has lauded the City Football Group as a project whilst backing himself to make the grade at Manchester City.

“The City Group is a very good project. I was at PSV, now in Girona. At PSV I didn’t play as much, but I learned a lot. I have to thank PSV for opening the doors to me, because the things I learned there have helped me be well at Girona today”, he said.

“The City Group’s project is first class, and I think that if I do well, Manchester City will want me.”

Savinho seems to have the right mentality

Whether Manchester City will call upon Savinho in the future remains a mystery but his confidence is a breath of fresh air.

In fact, it is this very mentality that one requires to be competing at the elite level.

For such a young prospect to be making such a claim is proof that he has full faith that his talent is sufficient enough to be shown alongside some of the best players in the world.

As long as Savinho’s performances remain top drawer, it is certainly not out of the question.
