Marcus Rashford may have his allegiances with Manchester United, but he put them aside last night.
The Red Devils ace took to Twitter to react to Sergio Aguero’s exit, as Manchester City announced he will be leaving this summer.
Aguero’s contract will expire and won’t be renewed, meaning the 32-year-old will be free to move on and join another club.
The Argentinian has made himself a modern day hero at City, smashing 257 goals in 384 games since arriving from Atletico Madrid back in 2011.
Aguero broke United hearts with his famous title-winning goal on the final day of the 2011-12 season, but Rashford hasn’t held it against him.
On Twitter last night, Rashford admitted that he thinks Aguero is a ‘great player’ having been asked for his thoughts on his City exit.
Rashford added that Aguero is ‘very close to the top’ in the ranking of all-time Premier League strikers, believing his stunning record speaks for itself.
