Marcus Rashford has shared what he’ll say to the Manchester City players in the England camp following their recent treble.
Kyle Walker, John Stones, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Kalvin Phillips were recently involved in the club’s celebrations following the end of their treble-winning season.
With those players now having linked up with their international teammates ahead of England’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying games against Malta and North Macedonia, one Manchester United player has spoken out about the success his club rivals have enjoyed recently.
Rashford speaks out about City’s success

Speaking in a recent press conference, Rashford had this to say when asked if he’d thought of what he was going to say to the City players when he sees them in the England camp.
He said: “Not really, just congratulations. Like I said before it’s football and the most consistent teams are going to win the most trophies. It’s nothing new, you look at Barcelona years ago, Real Madrid, they’re consistently the best teams so they’re going to win trophies.”

Having seen City win their fifth Premier League title in six years, to then going onto beat United in the FA Cup final before winning their first Champions League to win the treble and replicate what the Red Devils did in 1999, it’d be safe to assume that the past few weeks haven’t been particularly enjoyable for Rashford or anyone connected to his club.
However, with the player admitting he will congratulate the City players and that he recognises what it takes for a team to be so successful shows how respectful and intelligent he is.
Moving forward, if Rashford doesn’t want to see the Citizens continue their dominance in terms of winning trophies, he’ll have to make sure he helps his side improve and hope other teams can do the same.
