Matheus Nunes has claimed that there is an outfield position Ederson Moraes could play in for Manchester City.
With how excellent Ederson is on the ball, it is natural to wonder whether he could contribute anywhere else on the pitch apart from in net.
In the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, the £35 million man showcased his brilliant technique by scoring a terrific penalty in the shootout.

Matheus Nunes names the outfield position Ederson could play in
In training, one would assume that the Brazilian goalkeeper tries his hand at playing in outfield positions.
But it is difficult to replicate what one does in training during a game.
Even so, Matheus Nunes believes Ederson could play in midfield without breaking a sweat.
The Portuguese international told the club’s official in-house media: “He’s probably the best ‘keeper I’ve ever trained with and seen with the feet.”
“He could play in midfield easily, I’m not joking, he could play in midfield, he could take free-kicks, corners, goal kicks, penalties, everything.”
For years, many have wondered whether the 30-year-old could do a job in midfield, like other elite ball-playing goalkeepers like Manuel Neuer and Alisson Becker.
Ederson could certainly take Manchester City’s set-pieces
Matheus Nunes trains and plays with Ederson and ultimately, he would know best.
But even if the former Benfica number one struggles in midfield, as Nunes stated, he could take City’s set-pieces, in our view.
Ederson’s textbook technique in how he strikes the ball would enable him to put the ball on a six-pence for his teammates.
The treble-winner finds his teammates, who are often marked all over the pitch with his raking goal kicks.
From a closer range, be it via a corner or a free kick, he could do the same.
Ederson also has the shot power to go for goal and test the opposition goalkeeper.
In terms of being able to take penalties, the five-time Premier League winner has already done so with aplomb at the highest level.
However, whether the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Erling Haaland will permit Ederson to do so during games is a doubt.
