Micah Hamilton lauded Manchester City teammate Oscar Bobb after his side’s 3-2 win against Red Star Belgrade.
The 20-year-old was quizzed about playing with the likes of Bobb and Lewis at youth level in his post-match interview with TNT Sports (13/12/2023).
Ahead of the contest at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, Neil Lennon hailed the youngster as a “high IQ footballer”, while describing him as a hybrid between Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane.
Micah Hamilton praises “top” Oscar Bobb after Manchester City defeat Red Star Belgrade
Martin Odegaard also claimed that the Sky Blues talent has quite an “unorthodox” approach to his game for a Norwegian player due to his tendency to dribble past his opponents. The Arsenal skipper also added that his countryman is “fantastic” with the ball at his feet.
Even Juanma Lillo admitted in September that the club have “great expectations” from the Oslo-born attacker.
Micah Hamilton briefly expressed his admiration towards Oscar Bobb, who he has played a lot of football with even before their respective starts for Manchester City during Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

“So, I played with Oscar [Bobb] last season, in the [Under] 21’s, top player”, Hamilton told TNT Sports after the contest.
Oscar Bobb showed how well he understands Manchester City’s system
Not many would disagree with Micah Hamilton as Oscar Bobb showcased just how special a talent he is against Red Star Belgrade.
The Norwegian international exhibited his quick feet by leaving two opposition players for dead before slotting the ball past Omri Glazer with precision.
But aside from the gorgeous strike, what continues to stand out about Bobb is how well he understands City’s system.
As a result, in the first half, the silky wonderkid did not look out of place playing as a false nine, as he linked play extremely well, dropped deep and displayed his technical excellence.
But when shifted to the right wing in the second half, Bobb was equally, if not even more impactful.
Oscar Bobb is one hell of a young prospect and it seems like the only way is up for him.
