Journalist Graeme Bailey has suggested that Bernardo Silva will end up at Paris Saint-Germain this summer from Manchester City.
The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Manchester club this summer, having attracted interest from the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Saudi Arabian club, Al-Hilal.
Now, one journalist has shared his thoughts on the matter while giving his two cents about where the 28-year-old could end up by the end of the current transfer window.
Bailey backs Silva for PSG move
Speaking in a recent edition of the Talking Transfers podcast, Bailey said this about Silva and his current situation in regards to what his future could look like.
He said: “He really wants out of City. I think PSG might be the option, we’ve seen Barcelona linked again.
“We know he wanted to go to Barcelona, that’s not going to happen so I think rather than take the Saudi money, because Saudi are pushing for Bernardo Silva as well, but I think he might take the PSG [offer].”
Since arriving at the Manchester club from AS Monaco back in the 2017 summer transfer window in a deal worth a reported fee of £43m, Silva has made 306 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions.
Those appearances have seen the midfielder score 55 goals and deliver 59 assists, which have helped the team win numerous trophies.
Having reportedly turned down an offer for Silva from PSG, in addition to apparently offering the player an improved contract to stay at City, this shows how eager they are to keep hold of him.
Moving forward, unless the French club comes back with a better offer and the midfielder tells his current employers he wants to leave, they should continue to do all they can to convince the former Monaco star to stay where he is and help them keep winning trophies.
