Patrick Bamford has shared his admiration for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish and his personality.
The Leeds United striker was part of England’s squad for their World Cup qualifying games back in 2021 where he made his senior debut in a 4-0 win over Andorra.
Now though, the 30-year-old has been sharing his thoughts on one particular player he shared the dressing room with while away on international duty as well as played against on numerous occasions.
Bamford says Grealish is ‘hilarious’

Speaking in a recent edition of My Mate’s A Footballer, Bamford had this to say about Grealish when asked if there was anyone in the England squad that surprised him in terms of their personality or attitude.
He said: “When I played against Jack Grealish at Villa, so before he went to City, on the pitch obviously he’s very chirpy, he moans a lot as well, because he gets fouled a lot doesn’t he?
“So you come to see him and he has a chunter back at them when they do it. But as a teammate, honestly, he’s hilarious.”
Looking back over the previous Premier League campaign, only three players were fouled on more occasions than Grealish (78), which backs up Bamford’s point about the winger having plenty of opportunities to have words with his opponents.
This isn’t the first time the Englishman’s personality has been praised, as Ally McCoist said back in June that the 27-year-old is very “likeable” and that his personality makes him a “breath of fresh air” in football right now.
Now that another player, who has only briefly shared a dressing room with Grealish, has highlighted how pleasant the City star is off the pitch, this further showcases how much of a strong personality he has and what he offers his club behind the scenes.
