Manchester City legend Yaya Toure has admitted that his brother, Kolo Toure was a significantly better player than him.
Speaking on BBC 5 Live Sport, the Ivorian icon was giving his two cents on some of the greatest African players to have graced the Premier League.
As Kolo Toure was mentioned, Yaya Toure claimed that his brother as well as his ex-Manchester City teammate was on a different level to him.
Manchester City legend Yaya Toure says Kolo Toure was a much better player than him
The three-time Premier League winner is known to grab the headlines, recently admitting that he recommended Manchester City to sign Sadio Mane before he joined Liverpool in 2016.
Now, it seems like Yaya Toure has done the same yet again by claiming that Kolo Toure was a significantly better player than him; an opinion which will likely be disagreed with by a majority of fans and pundits alike.

“Personally, I think Kolo was much better than me. Both in terms of personal achievement and the fact that…football ways and being on the field. I think technically, tactically, understanding the game, physically, he was better than me.”
Yaya was on a different stratosphere to his brother
While Kolo Toure enjoyed an excellent career for both club and country, the decorated No.8 is rightly regarded as one of the best midfielders of all time.
The former was a brilliant servant for Arsenal, especially as part of the legendary ‘Invincibles’ side.
However, the retired central defender, whether it be for the Gunners, Manchester City or Liverpool was in and amongst the very elite performers in his position.
Yaya Toure, on the other hand was right up there amongst the very best in the world during his prime and during his unforgettable season in City’s 2013/2014 title-winning campaign, he was perhaps numero one.
As heartwarming it is to witness the former Sky Blues midfielder give his brother his props, he was on a different planet to him as a player.
