TalkSPORT pundit, Simon Jordan, has claimed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is not at the same level as Pep Guardiola.
After claiming that the west London side have been the greatest team in England over the past 10 years, Pochettino praised Guardiola for the work he’s done at City and said his side must have the belief they can be as successful as the Manchester club have been recently.
With the Argentine now preparing for his first season in charge of Chelsea, one pundit has had something to say in regards to where the 51-year-old sits in terms of being one of the Premier League’s top managers.
Jordan says Pochettino isn’t on Guardiola’s level

Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan said this about Pochettino and how he compares to Guardiola.
He said: “That’s where I look at Pochettino and go ‘would I put you, if I was sat in a situation where I could have my utopian world and I also had a bit of adversity mixed in there, would I put you in the same breath as Klopp, as Guardiola?’
“And my answer would be probably no, so that means to me how are you going to eclipse them? How are you going to be the one that makes Chelsea win leagues again if that’s the brief he’s been given.”
During his previous spells in England with Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, Pochettino took charge of 256 Premier League games, winning 132, drawing 61 and losing 63.

He even managed to get Spurs to a second-place finish in the 2016/17 season and into the 2019 Champions League final by beating City in the semi-finals.
However, given the plethora of trophies that the Spaniard has won during his seven years at the Etihad Stadium, this is presumably why Jordan thinks the new Chelsea manager can’t be put in the same light as Guardiola.
Having won the treble in his previous season with City, if the 52-year-old can regain these titles next time out, this will undoubtedly increase Guardiola’s stature as one of the best manager’s in the world.
