Nathan Ake has praised Kevin De Bruyne for how well he has played for Manchester City since returning from injury.

In his last three appearances in the Premier League, De Bruyne has registered one goal and three assists.

The City midfielder’s assists in particular have been brilliant as well, such as his lofted ball to set up Oscar Bobb’s winner against Newcastle, the intricate through ball for Julian Alvarez’s goal against Burnley and an inch-perfect cross for Phil Foden to head home against Brentford.

Nathan Ake says Kevin De Bruyne has been “incredible” since returning from injury

None of the 32-year-old’s assists so far have involved his signature cross from the right-hand side of the pitch as well, which shows the range of passes he has in his chamber.

Out of his last four appearances since returning from injury, the five-time Premier League winner has started just two games, which exemplifies how impressive he has been.

Nathan Ake has hailed Kevin De Bruyne for the impact he has had in a Manchester City shirt since returning to full fitness.

“It’s very important, they are both massive, massive players for us.”

“To see the creativity Kevin [De Bruyne] brings in the last few games he’s played already is incredible. And Erling [Haaland], you know the presence he brings, goals as well”, he said [via London Evening Standard].

If Kevin De Bruyne returns to his version in the 2021/2022 season, consider the title race over

It is impossible to disagree with Nathan Ake as Kevin De Bruyne has been terrific ever since returning to the pitch.

Much like in the 2021/2022 season when De Bruyne turned up the heat during the second half of the campaign, it seems like he intends to do the same this time around.

If the treble-winner can play at the level he did two seasons ago during the title race, it may well be well worth saving time and handing Manchester City the league crown once again already, in our view,

The former VFL Wolfsburg maestro was in devastating touch during the business end of the campaign, carrying the burden of City’s title hopes on his back and for Liverpool and Arsenal, the fear would be if he is in a similar mood this time around.
