Manchester City have today lost their final Premier League game of the season to Brentford 1-0, but after the game Erling Haaland was able to collect his Golden Boot award.
Pep Guardiola’s side fell short in London, with Ethan Pinnock’s late goal the difference.
Guardiola rested key players, and unfortunately the fringe players were not able to deliver a final day victory.

But the result didn’t matter too much.
City, of course, wrapped up the title earlier this month.
Winning the last game would have been nice ahead of the FA Cup final with Manchester United.
But it’s likely only Ederson, Kyle Walker and maybe Phil Foden will be starting that game, after playing today.
Today’s result was disappointing for City fans. But there was a nice sight at the end as Haaland was presented with his Golden Boot award.
The 22-year-old hit 36 goals in the league, breaking the record held by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer.
It has been a remarkable first campaign for Haaland, and former City defender Nedum Onuoha hailed the star after the game.
He said (via mancity.com): “I tell you what, I think he would trade it all to lift the two more trophies before the end of the season!

“He said it himself and I believe him. Some people are very much about themselves, and he is more about the team and that’s why City signed him.
“There’s so much more he can give, he’ll enjoy it and have huge pride in that.
“But he’ll work again and want to do more.
“He’s a very special talent and an incredible professional. You can see why he is successful now and will be in the future as well.”
Erling Haaland has had an incredible season, the challenge now is to replicate it – as he claims first PL Golden Boot
Haaland is a truly special player who works incredibly hard to be as good as he is.
To have scored 36 league goals to claim the Golden Boot in his first season is nothing short of incredible.
The challenge now for him, obviously, is to replicate this kind of level again next season.

To get close to his tally next term could be difficult.
Teams will be adopting special measures to try and deal with him and the expectation on him to deliver again will be greater.
But you’d be a brave man to bet against him scoring freely again next term.
