Over the past few years, Manchester City have shown that they are not afraid to sell players to Premier League clubs in and around them.
From Gabriel Jesus to Cole Palmer, Pep Guardiola’s men have perhaps sold players to their domestic rivals as they may believe that English clubs have the financial muscle not to baulk at their asking prices.
Manchester City are ready to sell James McAtee, a player who has caught the eye of clubs across European football.
One of them is Everton, with David Moyes keen to sign McAtee.
However, Newcastle United fans have claimed that they would love the Manchester City midfielder to don their famous black and white strip next season.

Newcastle fans desperate for James McAtee signing from Man City
One Newcastle fan believes James McAtee would be the perfect signing for the Magpies next season, explaining: “This seems like a no-brainer IMO [in my opinion]. A leader, technically very good, scores and assists goals, his value will only go up.”
A second supporter claimed that the 22-year-old could be the understudy to Alexander Isak next season, simply writing: “Back up to Isak with potential.”
A third Newcastle fan wrote that Eddie Howe would love to work with a young, talented attacker like McAtee: “Sign him. He is a kind of a player EH likes. No hesitation with that fee [£20 million to £25 million].
Another Magpies supporter claimed that the reported fee could be a bargain for his side, stating: “Worth £20 million all day long.”
Pep Guardiola called McAtee “special” and a fifth supporter believes he would be a brilliant replacement for Leeds United-linked midfielder Sean Longstaff: “Longstaff replacement, please.”
Finally, a sixth Newcastle fan explained that McAtee would be an excellent addition for them and slot into the number 10 role in Eddie Howe’s system: “This is something I think we could look at, a 10 that could potentially help unlock defences. Young with loads of room to improve, English and a price that wouldn’t break bank. Had a decent Euros too.”
Whether Howe and Co listen to the supporters and try to wrap up a deal for the City wonderkid remains to be seen.
James McAtee stats vs Newcastle United
Atalanta are interested in signing McAtee as well as the versatile attacker is generating interest from outside the Premier League, with Bundesliga and Serie A clubs shortlisting him this summer.
With McAtee impressing at the U-21 Euros, his stocks remain sky-high as he captained the Young Lions to winning the tournament.
Based on his display against Eddie Howe’s side in a 4-0 win for the Sky Blues in February, it is easy to understand why the St. James’ Park faithful are desperate to sign him.

McAtee played just 14 minutes against Newcastle, taking seven touches and still managing to score a goal, win a duel, take a touch in the opposition box and play a pass into the final third — a cameo that must have opened the fans’ eyes to why they must make a move for the Manchester City outcast.
City have every reason to be delighted about the excitement surrounding McAtee as they could potentially increase their asking price and sell him at a premium fee.
