Rodri has given an insight into what Pep Guardiola is like during the business end of the season.

One would perhaps have different assumptions of how Guardiola would behave during what is the most intense part of any campaign.

Some would expect the Manchester City boss would ramp up the intensity and perhaps be harder on his players to ensure his side get over the line in their hunt for silverware.

Being a serial winner, it would perhaps be logical to expect the Catalan to be as fiery as possible.

Others would perhaps presume that with how experienced Pep Guardiola is, he remains level-headed and tries to ensure that the feeling at the club is one of calmness.

In title races in particular, teams must be as cold as possible and be single-minded towards getting over the line above everything else.

However Guardiola behaves, what can be agreed is that it works to a tee for him and his players.

But in an interview with Sky Sports, Rodri was asked about what Pep Guardiola is like during the ongoing stage of the season.

“Well, like everyone, [he] knows that this is where we fight for everything and of course, this is the moment of the year that is going to demand more from us”, he said.

“No excuses, there’s no moments of, how do you say, laying down or whatever. It’s the moment to be compact and go forward no matter what happens and it’s something you can feel from his speech.”

It seems like Rodri, Pep Guardiola and the entire Manchester City camp simply remain diligent and extremely focused.

Where Pep Guardiola must be the best possible man-manager

Guardiola is often lauded for his tactical genius but at this stage of the season, it is perhaps even more important for him to be an exceptional man-manager.

Fortunately, Pep Guardiola has proven to be a world-class man-manager and it is perhaps why the likes of Rodri seem as hungry as they are to go the distance in the Premier League once again.

As long as the former Barcelona tactician can keep his players hungry during the most exhausting part of the season, it would take a brave man to write their chances of glory.

Fortunately for City fans around the world who are hoping that they reign supreme this season, if there is anyone who has been there and done that, it is Guardiola.
