Nedum Onuoha has shared some details on Manchester City’s recent trophy parade following their treble-winning season.
Having won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Champions League, the club’s first-team squad and staff enjoyed a three-day celebration which ended on Monday with a bus parade around the streets of Manchester.
With Jack Grealish getting a lot of coverage in the media about his prominence in the celebrations and the amount of alcohol he looked to have had throughout, one former City player, who was at the parade, shared some extra details on the event.
Onuoha shares Man City parade details

Speaking in a recent video from the ESPN FC YouTube channel, Onuoha said this about what went on during City’s parade.
He said: “It’s not just Jack that was very drunk, I can say it was all of them, all the coaching staff, it was everyone involved, the physios even the kit man.
“They had a very good time and ultimately, I don’t blame them, what an achievement.
“You celebrate the end of the season in general but to celebrate having three trophies, I think there’s plenty of reason to be blind drunk for three days straight.”

In terms of what Pep Guardiola’s side got up to on the pitch, they won 28 of their 38 Premier League games, drawing five and losing five, scoring 94 goals and conceding 33 along the way.
Then in terms of their cup victories, they scored 19 goals and only conceded one across their six matches in the FA Cup as well as going unbeaten in the Champions League, overcoming the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to get to the final.
With all of that in mind, as Onuoha pointed out, it seems right that the players and the staff let themselves go during this celebratory period given the hard work and dedication that was put in throughout the season.
Moving forward, even though they have earned themselves a break, the focus will eventually turn onto next season and hopefully regaining the trophies they picked up this time around.
