Stewart Robson believes Jack Grealish has actually become worse since swapping Aston Villa for Manchester City.
The 58-year-old spoke about the 28-year-old on ESPN’s The Gabs and Juls Show.
So, what was said about Jack Grealish? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, Robson believes the England international has regressed since moving to the Etihad Stadium.
He said: “Grealish is not the player he was at Aston Villa. When he was at Aston Villa he ran past people – I haven’t seen Grealish run past anybody! Just passes it square and back.”
Of course, the £100m man no longer being the player he was at Villa Park could be taken as a positive, in terms of him developing.
However, Robson was highly critical of what he is seeing from the Manchester City No.10 nowadays, strongly suggesting that he thinks the £300,000-a-week man has gone backwards.
Grealish has obviously turned in a bit of a system player under Pep Guardiola, sacrificing his individualistic style in running at people and being the main man to help Manchester City prosper as a team.

In 97 appearances for the Citizens, the Birmingham-born maestro has scored just 11 goals, while also providing 16 assists.
Interestingly – in his final season at Aston Villa – Grealish scored seven goals and provided 12 assists, to offer a comparison.
Jack Grealish must step it up at Manchester City
Grealish is obviously not a major hindrance to Manchester City, or else Guardiola wouldn’t have started him regularly in last season’s treble success.
However – following the arrival of Jeremy Doku – the Englishman needs to step it up a gear.
Guardiola interestingly left Grealish on the bench in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, turning to the Belgian instead as the Spaniard attempted to overcome the Gunners.

That was a telling development – in our view at least.
Hopefully, the competition provided by Doku fires Grealish up to become more like the player he was at Aston Villa.
