Reported Manchester City transfer target, Joshua Kimmich, has recently shared his praise and admiration for the club.
Back in May, it was reported that Pep Guardiola is considering making a move to bring the Bayern Munich midfielder to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
With the two sides now set to face off against each other on Wednesday for their latest pre-season match, the German has been sharing his views on the Citizens.
Kimmich praises City

Speaking to the media (via Rich Fay) ahead of Bayern’s pre-season game against City, Kimmich had this to say about the Manchester club.
He said: “Man City can be considered the number one club in Europe. It is a great opportunity to play against such a club.”
Last season saw the Manchester club win their fifth Premier League title in six years as well as the FA Cup and their first Champions League.
During their Champions League campaign last term, Guardiola’s side faced off against Bayern in the quarter-finals, beating them 3-0 at the Etihad and drawing 1-1 in Germany which saw Kimmich score the equalising goal of the game.

Having then gone on to beat Real Madrid in the semis and Inter Milan in the final, it’s safe to say that the Citizens had a tough journey to Istanbul and ultimately to lifting the trophy and being crowned as treble winners.
This all makes it easy to see why Kimmich has hailed the club and considers them to be the best side in Europe right now.
In terms of City’s transfer interest in the 28-year-old, during the same press conference where he praised the Manchester club, Kimmich did claim that he doesn’t think he’ll be leaving Bayern this summer, which could make any chance that the Citizens may have had of signing him look rather small.
