Oleksandr Zinchenko has used one word to describe Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The 27-year-old joined City back in 2016, the same year that Guardiola was appointed as the Manchester club’s manager.
After spending the 2016/17 season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, Zinchenko returned to Manchester and became a prominent figure in the Spaniard’s squad before leaving in 2022 to join Arsenal.
Now though, the Ukrainian has been sharing his thoughts on the City manager, providing just one word to sum up the 53-year-old.
Zinchenko delivers one-word description of Guardiola

In a recent one-word challenge video published on The Athletic’s Tik Tok channel, Zinchenko used the word “winner” to describe Guardiola.
During his time at City, the midfielder-turned-defender made 128 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and delivering 12 assists along the way.
With Zinchenko having plenty of experience working alongside Guardiola, it’s clear that he knows what the Spaniard is like to play under and learn from, especially when it comes to knowing what it takes to win trophies.
In terms of being a winner, the City boss has won 14 major titles with the Manchester club, including five Premier League trophies and one Champions League.
Having also managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich prior to his appointment at the Etihad Stadium where he also won a plethora of titles, it’s hard to disagree with Zinchenko that the word winner matches with Guardiola perfectly.
Looking back to the present, the Spaniard and his players are on the hunt to make history by potentially becoming the first team to win four Premier League titles in a row and also win the club’s second Champions League.
If they were to complete these big tasks, this would surely strengthen Guardiola’s status as a serial winner and one of the best managers in world football.
