Ollie Watkins has shared a response to the latest Instagram post from Manchester City winger Jack Grealish after the duo helped England beat Australia last night.

The City star provided the assist for Watkins’ winning goal in England’s 1-0 victory over Australia in their latest friendly match.

After the game, Grealish took to Instagram to share his delight over the win before referencing his link-up with Watkins as the duo used to play together at Aston Villa.

This then led to the Villa star sharing his thoughts on the winger and his efforts in this latest international match.

In response, the striker commented on Grealish’s post with the phrase “what a player”, followed by a love-eyes emoji.

Having played in 26 games together at the Midlands club, racking up six joint goal participations in the process, this highlights the chemistry the pair have enjoyed between them on the pitch, which has now moved onto the international stage as last night’s match proved.

In terms of his efforts for City so far this season, Grealish has only been able to provide one assist and is yet to score a goal with eight appearances across all competitions to his name.

Now that the winger has provided this assist for his old Villa teammate, this will hopefully be the starting point for him to start delivering goal contributions on a regular basis for his club throughout the remainder of the season and help them regain their titles he helped them win during the last campaign.
