Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush has delivered his verdict on each of the club’s main summer signings amid increased competition within the ranks.
The Citizens have had a busy year on the transfer front, making a host of signings in both the January window and the summer window.
Omar Marmoush was part of the cohort that joined Manchester City in the winter, along with the likes of Nico Gonzalez and Abdukodir Khusanov.
Meanwhile, City brought in the likes of Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and James Trafford over the course of the summer window.

Omar Marmoush says new Manchester City signings have shown their qualities
Marmoush, speaking to the City media team, explained how important it is to have competition for places within the team.
The Egypt international says City’s summer signings have shown their quality already.
Three of the new signings – Reijnders, Ait-Nouri and Cherki – featured at the FIFA Club World Cup, while Trafford made his City debut away at Wolves.
“Since the first day in the training session, we’ve seen their qualities,” Marmoush said, as per the City website.
“Ait-Nouri is very good on the ball and is very strong defensively.
“Tijjani is a box-to-box midfielder and has a big impact on the offensive side.
“Rayan Cherki has the quality in the tight spaces and has the creativeness.
“Of course, James had a really good game and helped save a good goal.
“We know their qualities and we’re very happy to have them. Hopefully, we can progress as a team.”

What Pep Guardiola has said about Manchester City’s new signings
Pep Guardiola was impressed by his new signings after the 4-0 win over Wolves.
At the same time, he wasn’t overly surprised as he feels the club has always been solid on the recruitment front.
“The club always makes good signings,” Guardiola said.
“I’ve never found a player who’s not good, in the Premier League, not just Man City, in general.
“If you’re a footballer playing in the Premier League, it’s because you’re good.
“How you can be better is how you connect with the idea of the team and all your teammates.
“The team plays badly, they criticise one player, the players are good, the players have always been really good.”
Guardiola singled Reijnders and Cherki out for praise.
“Tijji gives us something…you miss it, having incredible pace to the box,” he said.
“And the talent from Cherki is unbelievable, the small spaces, the creativity, the final third is extraordinary and sometimes in certain games, we’ll need him.”
