Alan Smith has said that Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden is the most entertaining player around right now.
The former Arsenal and Leicester City striker has watched numerous players in the Premier League over a number of years in his role as a commentator and pundit.
Now though, Smith has shared his thoughts on one particular top-flight star that he has enjoyed watching recently.
Smith wowed by Foden form

In a recent Q&A on Reddit, Smith had this to say when asked who he thinks the most entertaining player is right now.
He said: “Foden is on fire. Just hope England can harness that incredible talent.”
This season has seen the Englishman score 18 goals and deliver 10 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions, with 11 goals and seven assists coming in 27 Premier League games.
His previous league outing saw Foden score two goals and deliver a top performance in City’s 3-1 win over Manchester United last weekend.
Across his 27 league games, the 23-year-old has racked up the second-highest total of shot-creating actions (110) and goal-creating actions (14) in the City squad.
In addition to that, he has made more passes into the penalty area (49) and carries into the final third of the pitch (70) than any other player at the Manchester club.
Foden’s overall performances have earned him a solid season rating of 7.45/10 from WhoScored, making him the second-highest-rated player at the club behind Rodri (7.59/10).
Taking all of that into account, it’s undeniable that the City star has been in top form this season, which makes it easy to see why Smith has been so entertained by him.
Moving forward, if the England international can continue this hot run of form until the end of the season, he’ll be seen as a key figure for the Citizens if he helps them regain the three trophies they won in the last campaign.
