Chris Sutton has shared the one way that Brentford could beat Manchester City.
Following the recent round of midweek fixtures which saw City beat Burnley 3-1 and Brentford lose 3-2 to Tottenham Hotspur, the Citizens will travel down south to face off against Thomas Frank’s side on Monday night.
Looking ahead to this games, one pundit has shared his thoughts on how it could go and even highlighted one way the home side could beat Pep Guardiola’s side.
Sutton shares one way Brentford could beat City

Writing in his latest column for BBC Sport where he previewed and predicted the scores for all of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, Sutton had this to say about City’s match against Brentford.
He said: “Brentford did the double over Manchester City last season, and they are about to play each other twice in the space of two weeks. I don’t see a repeat of that Bees success, however.
“Brentford will score, because everyone seems to score against City these days – even Burnley – but City will score more. Pep Guardiola’s side are just so efficient at the moment and Brentford’s only hope is to hit them on the break. I don’t see it working out.”
The Bees beat City twice last season in both league meetings, which shows why Sutton thinks they have what it takes to do it again this time around as long as they can deal with City’s attacking pressure and then catch them on the break when the opportunity arises.
With Frank’s side scoring seven goals in their past four league games, the Citizens will have a tough test on their hands defensively if they allow the home side to create chances.
Even though City have scored more 20 goals and conceded 12 fewer than Brentford this season, we feel that this match will still be a hard one for the Blues and one they will need to be at their best for if they want to take a step closer to regaining the title.
