Amidst a topsy-turvy season for Manchester City, they have also had several standout performers.
We chose to pick five of the best, who have been a joy to watch this season.
5. Bernardo Silva has impressed once again

Once again this season, Bernardo Silva has delivered in a Manchester City shirt.
To the extent that soon, conversations may need to be had about whether he has surpassed club legends of yesteryear during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
The Portuguese international’s performances in the big games have stood out in particular, with Joleon Lescott lauding how consistently phenomenal he is against top opposition.
Most notably, the decorated attacker produced masterclasses against Liverpool and Manchester United.
But the common denominator in both those games was that the 29-year-old operated in the middle of the park.
Due to City’s lack of a natural right-winger, however, the treble-winner has been shifted out wide, where he can be effective but is far from his unplayable best.
The more Bernardo Silva is allowed to play in midfield, the better he is set to perform and benefit Manchester City.
4. Julian Alvarez has shown a new side to his game at Manchester City

Even though Julian Alvarez’s performances as a No.10 have divided opinion this season, it is indisputable that the way he has adjusted to playing in an unnatural position for him is worth applauding.
The World Cup winner has arguably been handed the most difficult task any Manchester City player could in replacing Kevin De Bruyne.
Being a striker by trade, the Argentine has had bumps along the way in trying to do so.
Yet, Julian Alvarez has showcased that he can be a threat in a deeper role, contributing as both a goalscorer and a provider.
Ultimately, Alvarez is likely to develop as a player from this experience, which should be music to every City fan’s ears.
3. Erling Haaland has been brilliant but he has not fired on all cylinders for Manchester City

At the end of the day, Erling Haaland is a victim of his own incredibly high standards.
If any other striker was having the season the Manchester City hitman has so far, they would be hailed as the greatest thing since sliced bread.
As a result, there is no getting away from the fact that the £375,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man is having yet another excellent campaign.
However, it is also undeniable that the 23-year-old has not been as ruthless in front of goal as he has been known to be day since his time at RB Salzburg.
Be it against Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United, Erling Haaland has had games where he seems to have left his shooting boots at home.
Once Haaland returns to his clinical best, he would likely take up the top spot in such a list.
2. Phil Foden is performing wherever he plays for Manchester City

Whether it is as a left-sided midfielder or out wide, Phil Foden has emerged as a bright spark for Manchester City this season, with Izzy Christiansen claiming that he has “world-class attributes” to his game.
With Kevin De Bruyne’s injury woes and the departures of attacking forces like Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez, the Englishman seems to have taken more responsibility upon his shoulders this season.
Phil Foden is letting his feet do the talking, proving once again this campaign why he is one of the most tactically switched-on players at Pep Guardiola’s disposal.
If Foden maintains such high standards or even elevates his game, he will look back upon this season with a smile on his face.
1. Rodri has been virtually flawless

Barring his performance against Chelsea, a game in which most of his teammates looked worse for wear, Rodri has been tremendous throughout the campaign.
The 27-year-old is the embodiment of a truly elite player, as he has come off the back of having the season of his life and looks like he seemingly intends to do so once again.
The only black mark on Rodri’s campaign so far is that he has missed crucial games through suspension.
But the Spanish international perhaps always intended to remind the world that he is only human after all.
However, as Rio Ferdinand claimed earlier this month, he is the most important out of any player in the Premier League.
When it comes to his displays on the pitch, the Manchester City controller has been in his element as he continues to solidify his status as one of the best players European football has to offer.
