The versatile, elegant and composed forward made important contributions in his debut campaign in 2023/24, earning himself a new contract, and is now looking to take things to the next level.

During his short City career so far, Bobb has played in several positions and has tended to fill in on the flanks when called upon.
However, he is a creative midfielder by trade and sees a central role as his best position. Yet, his versatility is clearly an asset for Guardiola.
“He can play in five positions; striker, right-wing, left-wing, the pockets,” Guardiola said after Bobb’s stunning goal against Newcastle last season.
“He’s so dynamic, the work ethic is unbelievable.
d, “Here (against Newcastle) in the Carabao Cup when we came, the first half was outstanding the way he played. He doesn’t feel much the pressure.
“I don’t know what happens with the players from the Academy.
“Look at Cole (Palmer), he’s doing really well at Chelsea, I’m so happy for him. And look at all the players; Rico (Lewis) when he came, and Phil (Foden), and he (Oscar Bobb) is important for us, the Club, to bring players from the Academy and help us.
“When Jack (Grealish) had problems this season, John Stones, and now Manu (Akanji), Kevin (De Bruyne) out, Erling (Haaland) out.
“An important part of the season is November, December, a lot of games, important players were not there. And Oscar helped us, and that is great, it’s really, really great.”

Oscar Bobb goal vs Newcastle
Despite his tender years and limited experience, Bobb has already had a massive impact at City and scored a goal that turned out to be crucial in the 2023/24 Premier League title race.
City were level 2-2 with Newcastle in January, staring down the barrel of dropping two precious points.
But then, in added time, Bobb brought down a lofted Kevin De Bruyne ball in the box with a sensational touch before using quick feet to evade the goalkeeper and stick the ball in the net.
