Oscar Bobb said Rico Lewis performed like “one of the veterans” for Manchester City in their 3-2 victory against Red Star Belgrade.

Oscar Bobb is spot on about Rico Lewis, who looked comfortable at the highest level once again while facing Red Star Belgrade away from home.
Starting at right-back, the teenager was extremely reliable at the back, reading danger astutely, winning his duels and playing a key role in stopping the hosts’ attacks.
Going forward, Lewis was his usual assured self.
The way Rico Lewis conducted the midfield was reminiscent of a seasoned veteran, every time he drifted into the middle of the park from right-back.
The youngster’s pass selection was nigh-on flawless at all times, as he knew exactly when to break the lines and take a risk in possession as well as when to keep things simple and ticking in midfield.
Whether it be in deeper areas or in advanced zones, Lewis seemed to be perfectly positioned to receive the ball as he allowed City to both exact control and build attacks as well.
All in all, Rico Lewis showcased once again why he is viewed as such a top talent.
