Manchester City right-back Rico Lewis was one of the best players on the pitch during his side’s 2-0 win against Chelsea.
Lewis retained his place in the side after impressing during his boyhood club’s win against Manchester United on penalties in the FA Community Shield.
The £25,000-a-week man was dealt the difficult task of playing against Christopher Nkunku.
After Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca took the Frenchman off, he was tasked with facing a fresh Pedro Neto.
However, the Manchester City youngster made life difficult for Nkunku and Neto as they struggled to cause him any trouble with their pace, trickery, magic in the final third and superior experience.

What Bobb said to Lewis after Manchester City defeated Chelsea
Defensively, Lewis most certainly did his job — saving City’s blushes in the second half in particular when Neto had the chance to score a tap-in at the back post before he cleared the ball away from danger.
However, in possession as well, the Englishman was exceptional.
The Blues’ press was rendered futile against the 19-year-old, who was seemingly a step ahead of the opposition every time he got the ball.
With the highly-rated technician picking up a variety of different positions, from right-back, central midfield, right-wing and as an attacking midfielder at different points, it was a challenge for Maresca’s side to keep track of his positioning.
As Lewis took to Instagram to celebrate Manchester City beating Chelsea, Oscar Bobb simply commented “Wow” on his post, followed by a raised hands and a praying emoji.
Oscar Bobb would have been motivated to be fully fit after watching Rico Lewis
Bobb, who is currently nursing a long-term injury would have been motivated to return to fill fitness after witnessing another young player at Manchester City in Lewis produce a masterful display against Chelsea.
Considering the Norwegian was brilliant in the recent Manchester Derby, he would have been looking forward to partaking in such big games this season.
However, an ill-fated injury meant Bobb was unavailable to be selected against Chelsea.
But the 21-year-old must be aware that as long as he recovers from his injury, he too could make waves like Lewis did.
Bobb certainly has the talent and personality to, which are traits that make him and the Englishman a pair of top young players.
