Owen Hargreaves has been raving about how good David Silva was when he was at Manchester City, and shared a joke he once made to the silky Spaniard in training.
City fans are blessed to be watching some amazing players week in, week out.
The current crop are definitely in the conversation for being one of the best club sides ever.

In this team, Kevin De Bruyne is the best player.
The Belgian is always putting in amazing performances and does things on the pitch that are other-wordly.
For a lot of fans, especially the younger ones, he’s the best player the club has ever seen.
For many others though, David Silva is the greatest player to have ever pulled on the sky blue shirt.
The former midfielder – affectionately dubbed ‘Merlin’ by fans – was an incredible talent and often left people speechless with some of the things he did.
His incredible ball control, vision and ability to always find space made him one of the best players to ever play in the Premier League.
Hargreaves was lucky enough to be a teammate of his, when he signed for City for the 2011/12 season. And he has been speaking about Silva on the official Man City podcast.

He said: “David Silva, that guy. This is what happens when you play against David Silva. This distance we have between us, two metres, that’s what Silva finds in the game, the whole game.”
Hargreaves then revealed what he said to Silva once in training.
“I said to him once, joking, in training, because he’s so light on his feet you can’t even hear him. David was just floating around. We were in training, I checked my shoulder and he was there. I checked again and he was gone. I said ‘I tell you what David if it doesn’t work out in football, you’ll have a great career breaking into places!”
“He was so light on his feet, his touch, he was two steps ahead.”

While this City side are currently thriving, it is hard not to miss David Silva.
He was an absolutely amazing talent and easily one of the club’s greatest ever players.

You can only imagine what kind of things he did in training.
Hargreaves was only at City for one season and was left completely blown away by him.
Thankfully, the football thing kind of did work out for Silva in the end…
