Manchester City paid Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers £53 million to secure the services of Matheus Nunes in the summer of 2023 (Sky Sports).
According to Sky Sports, Nunes went on strike to force a move to City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season.
City are paying the Portugal international midfielder £130,000 per week as salary (Spotrac).
Nunes has made one start and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for City so far this season.
The 25-year-old has also played once in the UEFA Champions League and has made one substitute appearance in the League Cup.
