Manchester City have had some discipline issues on the pitch so far this season and here are all the players currently suspended in the Premier League for the club, as well as the players who are close to being suspended if they are not careful.
The start to the Premier League season has not been perfect for Manchester City, with the club recently losing two games in a row.
They did turn things around with a 2-1 victory on the weekend over Brighton, and hopefully they can get back to their best in the division.
We saw the suspension to midfielder Rodri cause issues for Manchester City so manager Pep Guardiola will want to keep these suspensions to the bare minimum, especially with a huge game next in the division against Manchester United.
Here is all you need to know about current and possible Manchester City suspensions.

Do Manchester City have any players suspended for the Manchester derby?
Right now, despite the club only recently having one of their players coming back from suspension, they have more suspension worries.
Defender Manuel Akanji, who has started seven out of the eight Premier League games this season, is suspended. Manchester City signed him for only £15m and he looks like a bit of a bargain.
The 28-year-old centre-back got suspended after receiving two yellow cards in the victory over Brighton at the Etihad last weekend. He will therefore miss the match against Manchester United in the Premier League next weekend. His suspension is only for one game so he will be back on the 4th of November 2023. There are not many injuries at Manchester City currently, so the loss of Akanji will be frustrating.
Are any Manchester City players close to being suspended in the Premier League?

Right now, despite only recently returning from a suspension, Rodri could end up picking up another suspension in the near future. The Spaniard picked up a straight red card in the Manchester City victory over Nottingham Forest. Despite only recently being suspended, he is currently on three yellow cards and is the closest player to reaching the amount of yellow cards needed to be suspended.
After Rodri, a fair few Manchester City players are on two bookings, including Jack Grealish, Ederson, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva. Rodri, who has been hailed as ‘incredible‘, would be a huge loss.
How many yellow cards sees you pick up a suspension in the Premier League?
In the Premier League, the rules on picking up a suspension vary due to there being 38 games in total for every team to play. Players who receive five yellow cards in the first 19 games will be suspended for one match. With Rodri on three yellow cards, he only has to receive two more to be suspended again. If he does this over the next couple of games then he could miss huge clashes with Chelsea and Liverpool.
Players who receive 10 cards in the first 32 games of the Premier League season will end up receiving a two-match ban.
