Joao Cancelo once again finds himself training at Manchester City amid uncertainty over his future at the club.
The previous summer transfer window saw the full-back join Barcelona on loan where he spent the entirety of last season.
During his time at the Spanish club, Cancelo appeared in 42 games across all competitions, chipping in with four goals and five assists.
With the current summer window set to shut at the end of the month, Pep Guardiola has shared some details on what’s currently going on with Cancelo and what the remaining days of the transfer period could hold for him.

Pep Guardiola addresses Joao Cancelo’s Man City future
Guardiola was very open about Cancelo’s future when asked about the current situation on the defender and his future at City during a recent press conference ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Chelsea.
He said: “He’s training with us. We will see [on his future]. Maybe he stays at Man City, maybe he goes on loan, maybe.
“I don’t know yet, he’s training with us, behaving really well in the training session. He loves to play football, he loves to train.
“In training, we say ‘hi’, we talk, and train. That’s all.
“About what’s going to happen, it depends on his agent and the club. And at the end, if he has to stay, we will treat him like all the other players like we have done since I’ve been here.
“I’ve never doubted about his qualities for one second, but I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
City will have to wait and see about Cancelo
Despite Cancelo arriving to training prior to last weekend’s Community Shield match against Manchester United, the Portuguese international was not selected to be in the squad at Wembley Stadium.
With Guardiola now saying that Cancelo’s future is still up in the air, it’ll be interesting to see what happens between now and the end of the summer window in terms of if any offers come in for him.
