As Manchester City prepare to host Brighton & Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium, we have tried to call their predicted lineup.

Off the back of his side’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal before the international break, we expect Pep Guardiola to make as many as three changes to his side.

Ederson Moraes is expected to keep his place in goal for Manchester City predicted lineup against Brighton.

At right-back, Kyle Walker is likely to start once again, especially considering the threat Kaoru Mitoma poses on the left flank.

John Stones, who returned from injury as a substitute against Arsenal could start on Saturday, with Nathan Ake dropping to the bench as a result.

Alongside the Englishman is set to be Ruben Dias, who has started in every Premier League outing for Manchester City this season and the same is expected in our predicted lineup against Brighton.

At left-back, Josko Gvardiol, who was terrific against Mikel Arteta’s side seems unlikely to dropped.

In defensive midfield, Rodri, branded as ‘extraordinary’ by Pep Guardiola will finally return from suspension and looks set to slot straight back into the side for Saturday’s fixture.

As a result, Mateo Kovacic may be given a breather.

Even new-boy Josko Gvardiol acknowledged (via Manchester City’s official website) that the Spaniard’s absence could well have been one of the reasons behind their disappointing showing against Arsenal, which highlights his importance.

In front of him is likely to be Phil Foden, who has thrived in a more central role for the Sky Blues this campaign.

Alongside the ‘Stockport Iniesta’ is set to be Julian Alvarez, who could well be the first name on the team sheet in our predicted lineup against Brighton due to his stunning performances this season.

On the right-wing, Bernardo Silva is expected to start.

The last change could emerge in the form of Rico Lewis being dropped, allowing Jeremy Doku returning to the side on the left flank.

Up front, Erling Haaland will have vengeance on his mind after his form has been admittedly sub-par in recent weeks.
