One of the best and most consistent players for Manchester City in recent seasons has been Kyle Walker, and the defender played well against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

Kyle Walker started for Manchester City against Arsenal in North London on Sunday.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star started at right-back in a 4-3-3 formation.

The Englishman, who cost City an initial £45 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Spurs back in the summer of 2017 (BBC Sport), played for the entire 90 minutes.

Schmeichel said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “How good is Kyle Walker? How quick is he!

“He is chasing balls, he is keeping the ball, he is making tackles.

“He has been fantastic today.”

My View: Kyle Walker is still a quality player

In my view, Kyle Walker is still a very good player and remains a key figure at Manchester City.

Walker may be 33 now, but he is going as strong as ever.

That Pep Guardiola is starting the Englishman in big games such as the one against Arsenal shows how much faith he has in him.

Against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Walker had a pass accuracy of 91.1%, won one header, took 58 touches, attempted one dribble, made one tackle, one interception and two clearances, and put in one cross.

Walker has made 371 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The right-back has scored eight goals, given 33 assists, and kept 126 clean sheets in those games.
