Manchester City youngster Jack Wint has revealed he used to watch Ederson very closely when he used to be an Etihad Stadium ballboy.
The club have published quotes from the 17-year-old in the latest digital magazine.
Wint is another promising young talent on the books at the Etihad and is currently representing the U18s.
Wint has been with the club since the age of 9, and like so many of the club’s brilliant young talents, has aspirations of playing for the first-team one day.
It will take a lot of hard work, but perhaps the fact he’s been able to watch current Etihad number 1 Ederson in action so often will stand him in good stead…
Jack Wint says he used to get a good view of ‘phenomenal’ Ederson as a Man City ballboy

Wint has been speaking to the club about his journey in football so far.
Interestingly, before joining City, he actually played as a striker for his school team Edgerton, before converting to a goalkeeper at the age of around seven or eight.
That kind of mirrors Ederson, who also started outfield (as a left-back) before becoming a goalkeeper.
Ederson is a player Wint really looks up to, and the youngster says he’s actually been lucky enough to watch the Brazilian right up close from when he used to be an Etihad Stadium ball boy.
He said (via mancity.com): “I used to ballboy a lot and I used to watch Ederson all the time because I was positioned behind the goal so I got a really good view of what he was doing,” said the 17-year-old.
“I’ve obviously tried to implement as much of his game as I could into mine, but I also want to make sure I’m my own keeper.
“He’s a phenomenal keeper and I want to be doing what he’s doing – playing at the highest level – and he’s got great attributes. I wish I could kick it as far as him! I’ve always looked up to him and he’s been a great role model for me.”
Wint will have learned so much from Ederson
It is not unusual for former City ballboys to go and appear for the first-team.
We have seen it with Phil Foden, and we saw it again recently when Micah Hamilton made his debut in the Champions League.
Perhaps someday we will be seeing Wint taking up position between the sticks.
The fact he’s been lucky enough to sit right behind Ederson at the Etihad Stadium is something that could genuinely really help him, with the Brazilian obviously one of the best in the world in his position, and one of Pep Guardiola’s best ever signings.
The game has changed a lot in recent times. Goalkeepers are now required to be good with their feet and Wint will have picked up many things watching Ederson, who is viewed by many as the best ball-playing goalkeeper in the world.
