Phil Foden has shared the secret behind his incredible success at Manchester City.
The local hero has been dominating the headlines this week after his fantastic, match-winning performance against Brentford on Monday.
City went behind once again in the match through Neal Maupay’s opener and the Bees were proving resilient.
Yet, the dominance of Pep Guardiola’s side finally broke their resolve as Foden found the leveller just before the break with a cool finish.
The ‘Stockport Iniesta’ would go on to score a header and another nice goal to complete a second career hat trick and secure a 3-1 win.
Picking up the three points was crucial for City as it has seen them gain ground on Premier League leaders Liverpool and continue their momentum.

Foden credits his family for his success as they keep him grounded and free of distractions.
“I think the family for me is the most important thing to my success, to be honest,” Foden told TNT Sports.
“If you have a strong family at home to keep you away from all the distractions… yeah, it’s what I need. I need my family massively for that.
“They’ve supported me since day one. They’re so important to me. Just to keep me grounded all the time. So important.”
His best season yet
It’s not even close to being over yet but Foden is on course to register his best campaign in senior football.
After years spent out on the flanks, he is finally getting a consistent opportunity this term to operate in central positions where he can have much more influence on games.
That is paying off statistically, with the 23-year-old already on 20 goal contributions – 11 strikes and nine assists – for the season. Just six behind his best ever tally.
All going well, Foden should smash his personal best, and Guardiola has already said he thinks he’s playing the best football of his career.
The scary thing is, he’s not even close to his peak yet and it’s incredible to think how good he could become.
