It seems as if Manchester City have completed a deal to signed talented U-15 striker Kylan Midwood, as the young striker has been spotted wearing the club shirt.
Romano’s recent updates
Recently, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano issued an update regarding the deal by stating that City had beaten the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Leeds United to sign the gifted youngster.
The Italian journalist had also claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side aim to develop the best British talent and offer them a pathway to the first-team.
Romano has also previously reported that the Sky Blues plan to unveil him as an official academy player, as a medical has also been completed.
The wonderkid had not signed a contract with the Premier League champions at the time.
Kylan Midwood to Man City seems all but confirmed
While an official announcement is yet to be made, The Secret Scout posted a picture of Kylan Midwood in a Man City shirt.
Clearly, only an official announcement is pending, as the transfer seems to be all but confirmed by the club themselves.
City’s trend of developing British youngsters
It seems as if Manchester City are making a habit of blooding in top British talent to the first-team.
The standout example is Phil Foden, who has been at the club at just 4 years old.
Other similar examples include the likes of Cole Palmer and James McAtee, who have been handed senior minutes, after being at City for their entire lives for all practical purposes.
However, the Premier League champions do not shy away from signing British players, such as English duo Liam Delap and Josh Wilson-Esbrand from Derby County and West Ham respectively, who have also played for the first-team.
And it seems as if Kylian Midwood could be added to the aforementioned category, and play for the Man City senior side if he justifies his potential.
