Slobodan Tedic has now left Manchester City for Čukarički after a disappointing time at the Etihad Stadium.
That is according to Nogomania.
So, what is the situation involving Slobodan Tedic and Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
Slobodan Tedic leaves Manchester City
Well, Manchester City signed the Serbian from Čukarički in a £2.7m deal back in January 2020.
However, Tedic never actually made a senior appearance for the Citizens – nor did he feature for any side within the City Football Academy.
The 23-year-old was instead loaned out to PEC Zwolle, Barnsley and Charlton, failing to put his name up in lights at any of these clubs.

As a result, Manchester City have decided to sanction a permanent exit for Tedic, who has now returned to Čukarički on a free transfer.
The story from Nogomania states that the Podgorica-born striker has signed a two-year contract with the Serbian SuperLiga outfit.
Manchester City had high hopes
Unfortunately, the signing of Tedic was a rare transfer blunder by Manchester City – although not one which hurt the club’s bank account too much.
At the time of a deal being agreed with Čukarički back in September 2019, Nenad Mirosavljevic – Director of Football at the Serbian side – claimed that Manchester City were basically obsessed with the striker.

The Manchester Evening News quoted Mirosavljevic as saying: “He’s been on City’s radar for a long time, with scouts often coming to see him. There have been game where we didn’t even know they were in the stands. They watched all of his games, his every move.
“When they officially contacted us, we easily and quickly agreed. This is a confirmation of our good work, but also the best possible marketing for Čukarički, and for Serbian football in general”.
Unfortunately, things did not work out for Tedic at the Etihad Stadium – however, at the age of just 23, the forward still has plenty of time to resurrect his career back at Čukarički.
