As Manchester City celebrated their historic treble on Monday, Jack Grealish was caught by cameras, asking PSG-linked Bernardo Silva to stay at the club.

Football Daily shared a video, which saw the two-time Premier League winner doing his best to persuade the £43.8 million (Guardian) man, who has reportedly reiterated his desire to leave.

However, Jack Grealish seems to be doing everything in his power to ensure Bernardo Silva stays at Manchester City instead of playing his football for PSG next season.

While Barcelona have also been linked with the fleet-footed technician’s signature, even Fabrizio Romano seemingly claimed on Monday that the Parisians are the biggest contenders to sign him.

Romano insisted that the deal was not even close to being completed, which perhaps gives hope to City fans that one of their most beloved superstars could well end up staying put.

Jack Grealish certainly hopes so, as he was captured by the cameras pleading with PSG-linked Bernardo Silva to stay at Manchester City.

It seems unlikely that Bernardo Silva will take his teammate’s advice

Considering the likes of PSG and Barcelona have been close to signing Bernardo Silva over the past couple of summers, it may be too little, too late from the Englishman in his attempts to persuade him to stay at Manchester City.

Back in March last year, the versatile attacker told the Times that during the pandemic, he ‘felt alone’ in England, which piqued his desire to leave the club.

However, Bernardo reiterated his love for the Sky Blues.

At the end of the day, it may well be a case that as content as the player is at City from a professional perspective, perhaps he wishes to play his football in a country that is closer to his culture.
