Nedum Onuoha has suggested that Manchester City could sign another player after Matheus Nunes before tonight’s transfer deadline.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Manchester club had agreed a £53m deal with Wolves for the Portuguese midfielder, who has now been officially revealed as a new City player.
With the summer transfer window set to close tonight, one pundit and former City player has claimed that Nunes may not be the final new face arriving at the Etihad Stadium today.
Onuoha says City could sign another player today

Speaking in a recent video on the ESPN FC YouTube channel, Onuoha had this to say when asked whether or not City could sign another player today after the arrival of Nunes.
He said: “I think there could be one more. I think there could be potentially another attacking-type midfielder, maybe.
“I still think there’s probably room for one, maybe he wants to see Bernardo [Silva] play more central and then more cover for [Jack] Grealish as well on that far side, so I think they’ll probably get one more.”

City have seen numerous players make moves in and out of the club during this latest summer transfer window, losing figures such as Ilkay Gundogan, Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte and signing new names such as Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku.
Recently, the Citizens have seen Cole Palmer join Chelsea on a permanent deal worth an overall fee of £42.5m and are reportedly set to see James McAtee join Sheffield United on another loan deal.
Having also lost Kevin De Bruyne to a long-term injury, this may also be in the back of Pep Guardiola’s mind in terms of possibly bringing in another midfielder today.
With that in mind, this could make Onuoha’s suggestion that the Manchester club may sneak in a final incoming transfer before tonight’s deadline a possibility.
