Paris Saint-Germain are ‘ideally positioned’ to sign a massive Manchester City star in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Le10Sport, who believe the French champions will make a move for Bernardo Silva.
PSG are set to lose their biggest star Kylian Mbappe this year after the Frenchman informed his club he will not be extending his contract at the end of the season.
This has left PSG with a massive hole to fill in their side and a lot of leftover wages with which to fill it, leading them to once again be linked with City’s Silva.
PSG linked with Bernardo Silva
In a report from French outlet Le10Sport, it’s claimed that Bernardo is a ‘priority’ for PSG football advisor Luis Campos after the club failed in attempts to sign him in 2022 and 2023.
Bernardo has been linked with a return to mainland Europe for years but a concrete offer has never come in for him.
The 29-year-old appeared to put his future to rest in the summer when he extended his contract to 2026.
However, it’s reported that Bernardo’s latest deal contains a £50m release clause which leaves PSG ‘ideally positioned’ to finally sign him.
It’s added the clause only comes into effect on July 1 but that Bernardo ‘wants to come to Paris.’

Here we go again
A year does not go by without Bernardo being linked with either PSG or Barcelona and it has started early this time around.
It seems that even signing a new deal until 2026 is not enough to quiet the talk surrounding the Portugal international’s future.
However, the possibility of such an affordable release clause is certainly worrying. PSG would have no trouble paying £50m and that’s before a huge portion of their budget is freed by Mbappe’s departure.
Bernardo is exactly the sort of world-class operator the Parisians need to lessen the impact of losing such an important player.
It looks like it could be another nerve-shredding summer as City wait to see if one of their best players will depart.
