Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly targeting a transfer move for Manchester City star Bernardo Silva as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Mbappe has told PSG that he will leave the club in the summer when his contract expires.
As a result of this news, reports have emerged concerning who the French club will look to bring in once the Frenchman leaves, with one City player being on their radar.
PSG to target Silva as Mbappe replacement

According to a recent report from L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), Silva is one of PSG’s transfer targets for this summer when Mbappe leaves.
The report also adds that the French club, who have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old previously, see this summer as an ideal time to sign the midfielder due to the apparent €60m (£51m) release clause in his contract.
City signed the Portuguese international from Monaco back in the 2017 summer transfer window for a fee of £43m.
Since then, Silva has made 335 appearances for the Citizens prior to today’s home Premier League match against Chelsea.
Across those appearances, the midfielder has scored 63 goals, delivered 63 assists and won a plethora of trophies.
Having started 25 of the 29 games he’s appeared in this season, this highlights how much of an important player he is for the Blues.
With Pep Guardiola describing Silva as an “incredible” player and one of the best he’s ever seen in his career, it’s safe to say that he would be a big loss for the team if he were to move to Paris in the summer.
Looking ahead to the next summer transfer window, even though he signed a contract extension back in August, everyone at the Manchester club will undoubtedly be hoping that PSG end up turning their attention elsewhere so Silva can stay where he is.
