Paul Dickov raved about Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes’ display in his side’s 3-2 win against Red Star Belgrade.

Paul Dickov praises “outstanding” Matheus Nunes after Manchester City beat Red Star Belgrade
The Portuguese international made his first start for the Sky Blues since their 3-0 victory against Young Boys in the Champions League.
It’s safe to say that the former Wolves technician impressed once again, with him especially shining in Europe’s elite competition for the Sky Blues.
Paul Dickov hailed Matheus Nunes after Manchester City made it six wins out of six in Group G of the Champions League after defeating Red Star Belgrade.

“I thought Matheus Nunes was outstanding the time he was on the pitch”, he said on City’s full-time show on their YouTube channel.
Key to be patient with Matheus Nunes
Paul Dickov was right to laud Manchester City No.8 Matheus Nunes, who looked in cracking touch against Red Star Belgrade.
Considering the ex-Sporting CP talisman has had a stop-start spell at the Etihad Stadium so far, some have already started to doubt whether he could become a success at the club.
But as has been the case with various signings made by Pep Guardiola during his time at Manchester City, they tend to take time before proving their mettle.
In most of Matheus Nunes’ appearances for the large part, he has looked like a natural fit in sky blue.
Of course, this is not to deny that Nunes has room to improve his game.
But considering the likes of Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez looked like misfits during their debut campaigns at Manchester City, the signs that the 25-year-old has exhibited so far have been positive, to say the least.
