Manchester City were involved in numerous deals during the previous summer transfer window.
City are no strangers when it comes to moving players in and out of the Etihad Stadium for significant sums of money.
In fact, the Blues picked up a club-record fee of £81m (via BBC Sport) by selling Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid back in August.
Despite that, the Manchester club have now been praised for another deal they made behind the scenes over the summer.

Nigel Reo-Coker hails Man City’s signing of Savinho
While discussing City’s squad in a recent episode of BBC Sport’s Football Daily podcast, Nigel Reo-Coker said this about Savinho and the Manchester club’s signing of him.
He said: “For me, one of the best signings of the summer, it’s kind of an inside job, Savinho of Manchester City has been the best signing I have seen so far in this Premier League campaign to start the season off.”
Savinho has had a positive start to his debut City season
City paid £33m to sign Savinho from fellow CFG club Troyes back in July.
Since then, the winger has appeared in five games for the Blues across all competitions, supplying two assists along the way.
With three Premier League appearances under his belt, the 20-year-old has made more carries into the penalty area (13) than any other City player.
Having started his first Champions League game with City in their midweek 0-0 draw with Inter Milan, the Brazilian was taken off at half-time, which Guardiola said was due to how the Italian club were set up tactically.
Now that Reo-Coker has named Savinho as being the best signing of the summer across the Premier League, this highlights just how well the winger has settled into his new team.
