Manchester City have seen many players join the club since Pep Guardiola became their manager back in 2016.
For instance, City have signed the likes of Erling Haaland, Ruben Dias, Ilkay Gundogan and many other players who have proved themselves to be key figures in the club’s trophy haul in recent years.
Now though, Guardiola’s side are aiming to make even more history and become the first side to win five consecutive Premier League titles.
The Blues could take a big step towards doing that this weekend if they manage to do what they couldn’t do last season and beat Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
Ahead of this game, a pundit has pinpointed one particular figure from City’s squad he thinks is rather impressive.

Tony Cascarino says Rodri is a joy to watch
In a recent column for The Times, Tony Cascarino was tasked with building a combined City and Arsenal XI in preparation for Sunday’s big clash between the two sides.
After including Rodri in his combined XI, the pundit said this about the City star.
He said: “What can you say about him that’s not already been said?
“His biggest strength is the amount of control he has over a game. He’s the centre of the squash court that controls the whole pitch.
“It’s about how much he doesn’t give away the ball. His upper-body strength is great and watching him is a joy.”
Rodri has been a vital signing for City
Paying £62.5m to sign the midfielder from Atletico Madrid back in 2019, City have gone on to see Rodri make 259 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 26 goals and providing 30 assists along the way.
Cascarino isn’t the first pundit to heap praise on the £220k-a-week Spaniard, as Craig Burley recently said that Rodri has become a top player under Guardiola’s management at City.
As an undeniably vital signing for the Citizens, Cascarino’s comments here show just how useful he is for the team on the pitch.
